ღஐƸ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒஐღ.......... FAQ ..........ღஐƸ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒஐღ
_______________________________

Q: How did you learn to draw like that?

A: I've never had a professional training for my fashion drawings. When I decided to study architecture I was taught basics in how to make my portfolio. I drew different kind of motifs, tried several mediums. The first time I actually learned how to draw professionally was during my first year at the university. They taught us things like perspective, proportions, measuring, shape, shading, even basics in drawing portraits and the most important how to SEE things. One of my professors loved to say "Folks, SEE what you're looking at!".

Q: How can I learn to draw like that?

A: First of all, you don't have to be proficient in drawing realistic figures and fabrics to become a fashion designer. It's the idea that counts! Fashion sketching I learned by looking at several fashion design books for techniques, textures and materials. But the best way for me to become better was to watch carefully at pics, to analyze how fabrics, shadows and highlights fall, how textures and colors change on light etc. and to experiment with colors and mediums.

Q: What kind of materials do you use?

A: I use them all-Markers, water color, chalks, charcoal, soft pastels, liner pens and milky gel pens, even correction pen. I usually use more than one medium. I use a kneaded eraser- great for highlights and softening of too dark areas and an eraser pencil for pin-point erasing.

Q: Do you use templates or you draw the figures by yourself?

A: Sometimes I use templates if it's got to be fast done, for example in tutorials where I concentrate on showing the fabric or the clothes and less the figure. But in all videos seeing me first drawing the figure and then dressing it up I drew it by my own.

Q: Can I request a look/ an outfit / a technique?

A: Absolutely! Email me in English, German or Bulgarian at:

And please be sure to include a photo when necessary.
About Me:

I am passionate about art, fashion design and architecture and love to share my passion with you. Thanks so much to all subscribers and for your kind messages!

I am not a fashion designer- I am an architect with a passion for drawing. Yes, all designs you'll see in my videos are either my interpretations of costumes from movies or were worn by celebrities on the red carpet .
I repeat, I am here not to show you my OWN ideas or to teach you how to DESIGN. I'm here to show you my techniques in presenting fabrics, figures or colors in illustrations.

What do you mean by one should not use wax crayons? Why ever not? Are you working on a portfolio or somenthing? I suppose your teacher wanted to say that it's a very diffcult technique for beginners. So if you wnat to make a great drawing but you have no experience with wax crayons, you should try something less as difficult. Another thing is, of course, the fact that school grade wax crayons have not the good quality of pro/ artist grade crayons which are much more pigmented, softer and better to blend. The school grade crayons are rather meant for little childeren who should not use tinted fineliners or felt-tip pens.
But if you're good at crayons and have a good brand of them, why not use them?
