But you do realise the hate is supported by what the Bible says, dont u?. It comes from the same literal interpretation that says the earth is 6000 yrs old and evolution is wrong. So all those appalled creationists out there....remember that. if you truly believe this the word of God...why arent you standing in line with them?
(Lev 20:13) "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death."

There are over 100 verses that exhort people to violence in the name of Allah in the Qu'ran. YT comment size does not allow a full list. You would say none of them 'are to be taken literally' wouldnt you? Well that's lovely of you. But millions of Muslims DO take them literally - on the basis of their personal interpretion. Tell me - what good is any moral instruction book with so much dangerous ambiguity? After all your Deity was able to be crystal clear on the punishments for sin.

I agree it doesnt make a lick of sense - but this is what it says he did. "Genesis 6:7 So the Lord said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I regret that I have made them."
You cant have your Bible a la carte you know? You cant reinvent or twist those passage you think are immoral (as so many are) so that you are better able to accept them.

If you mean we're physically of the same species. I guess. But in regard to anything that matters - we're not the same. Respect is earnt, not due. Being of the same species earns no respect in itself. Respect is earnt by our deeds, our knowledge, our courage and passion. If you express an immoral or ignorant view - I will politely ignore you. If you try to impose these views on me - I will be disrespectful - and justified in being so...

You've read my post out of context. Read what I was responding to pls.
I couldnt agree with you more re: 10 commandments. Golden rule is all that is required here. Infact Id say the ten commandments encourage what I would call immoral behaviour - either directly or by what is left out. Peace.

Hes not mocking God. He doesnt believe God exists so how could he? No. He's mocking people who believe in God....

Thank God for their safety? Is this the same God who ignored their prayers for salvation every night for 11 years?
Im delighted these unfortunate girls now get a chance to live. But anyone who sees in their rescue the work of a supernatural dicatator is an idiot.
-
Who are you praying to? The same God that ignored their prayers for salvation for10 years ?

If you thank him for their rescue you must also blame him for their captivity.

Basing extraordinary claims on no evidence whatsoever is (ironically) evidence that you either have no brain - or that you've decided to put it on 'standby'.
There are thousands of different religions - a clue (perhaps) that humans just like to believe in things. Each one has followers as convinced in the truth of their god as you are. You can provide no better or worse evidence for the truth of your God than any of them.
So Ill just sit here and laugh at the lot of you.

Im sorry - but air time just should not be spent on religious cretins like this and their bronze age ignorance. Im a married man in his forties and for me these views are deeply offensive - so what they must be like for a gay guy, Ill never know. I will not be lectured by the child buggering catholic church on matters sexual.
But I sense the end is nigh. Like Lance Armstrong - these Catholic lies are unsustainable. You cant sell a god so capricious and callous.
-
So you are an advocate for taking the law into your own hands? Taking out criminals is the police's job surely? You cant stop a gunman before he's shot anyone - without commiting a crime yourself. And the last point Ill make is despite 250 million guns in private ownership - I dont see a great deal of evidence of gunmen 'actually being taken out' by private citizens.

Im distorting nothing. These are the facts about the Qu'ran. It has much in it that supports violence. Fact. You may have had these 109 verses explained away as 'of their time' by a priest - but what you cant deny is that they are there in the book. There are millions of Muslims (and many priests) who take these verses on face value. And when you are told that the Qu'ran is the perfect word of Allah - you have to wonder how even devout muslims keep a straight face.

Agree, But then again is there anything about religion that deserves respect or tolerance? Lets examine what it has going for it. 1) Its not clever to hold to something so evidently a lie, 2) its not nice to insist everyone else must believe the same thing. 3) Its not nice to condemn non believers to an eternal torture 4) Clearly a great many evil deeds have been done in its name, 5) no tolerance is reciprocated.and finally 6) its dogma stifles progress.
Intolerance = generosity
