Beautiful Duke - you can see he is having difficulty eating the stick, his last teeth must have been worn right down. He is magnificent. I am sorry he has gone from the earth but glad if he had to die - that it was a natural death, not for his tusks. Vale Duke.

About Elephant E-ctivism
Elephants are wonderful, complex, social beings with strong family ties. We celebrate their presence on earth and do all we can for them as species, as family - as individuals. Elephants are being killed at +/- 100 a day in Africa for their tusks to fuel the bloody trade in Ivory. Elephants are abused everyday all around the world for entertainment purposes in tourism, circuses, zoos. We must speak up for them, act on their behalf in myriad ways - if they are to survive, or live as good a life as possible if incarcerated. They need each one of us. Today, Tomorrow, and Ever After. By being here you are standing for them and saying "I stand and speak for the Elephants!"

Problem solving skills, altrusitic behaviour. Elephants are just like us at our best - we are just like them when we seek to help (not harm). Thanks so much for sharing this amazing footage and insight into an Elephant's life.
