I was jazzed when I found out this was the ORIGINAL version!!! The late Mr. Dean had to tone down the final verse (ie, substituting "one hell of a man" w/"big,big man") to get radio airplay.

Was a senior in high school when this came out;quite ironic that Walter Murphy's disco staple "Fifth of Beethoven"--which had a similar intro (ie,Beethoven's 5th symphony)--was released just a couple years after this,as memory serves me right.
