About this user

Hi! I'm Peter Venuto. I'm a musician, DJ, lightshow and sound device artist, educator and curator of The Rainbow Palace located in Toronto, Canada.

I've worked with Dirty Projectors and Deerhoof, including touring and co-directing their video "The Perfect Me" which received a special screening at International Short Film Festival Oberhausen in May 2008. I've also directed a version of "Fresh Born" for the band, featuring the Electric Rainbow Machine.

"Trashlites and Rainbows" is a fifteen minute process documentary I shot that details the initial coming together of the Electric Rainbow Machine and correspondent interface madness. It's located in 'My Favorites'.

Here you can check out the near-entirety of the Canadian Music Week 2008 headlining synesthetic collaboration between Deerhoof and myself that took place at the Phoenix Concert Theatre, Toronto.

I'm currently constructing the Mood Stabilizer: a primitive synthesizer, developing the Electric Rainbow Machine, working on various musical projects and operating The Rainbow Palace.
