I think the Schönberger-Laumman was the first semi-automatic pistol in 1892, whereas this was 1893. However, the Brochardt c93 was the first commercially successful semi-auto.

In 19th century there was in effect one tune for "state" occasions - that same tune used by many states. Individual states then added their own words: "God save the Queen", "My Country Tis Of Thee". The PrußenLeid (findable on Youtube) has the same tune hidden in it. Austria Hun...
