i used to try to archive the entire l.a. indie music scene . . . then some of my fav venues decided that, if they couldn't make money off of my work, i had to remove the hundreds of videos that i'd shot on their premises . . . lots of our collective history was removed from view (remember the 9 audio-crushing basses, plus a gong, on "we fell dead" for the monolators "don't dance" album release?) . . . tears were shed, but hugs were had . . . and the truth is, there are still lots of sweet sounds being made in places that grok the free promo
