About this user

Ekosofia is a concept for organic cityplanning. It's a transition model for building small natural communities, eco-vilages and (satellite)cities. Aiming at a global footprint of less then 1 hectare per human...

The design is an atomistic, circleshaped grid which can also be applied to city gardens, eco theme parks, estates, farmlands and alotments.

The organisation model is inspired on Community Supported Agriculture. Ekosofia is an adaptable "greenprint" for eco-village projectgroups, individuals, projectdevelopers, housing corporations en local governments in Europe and abroad.

Projectgroup eco-village Ekosofia:
The projectgroup was started in april 2009 with the goal to build an eco-district in the Amsterdam area. Join the group at Facebook Eko Sofia.

Foundation Ekosofia:
The main goal is to build natural and nature rich environments/habitats. Furthermore the foundation shares the "green poldermodel" based on a Creative Commons License. We welcome sponsors and financiers willing to help make real a first pilot.

About the designer:
Since the summer of 2005 i am working on a series of drawings, a moodboard, maquettes and more to research and evolve the concept. In order to develop common farmer sense i completed a two year study in biodynamical agriculture. Together with others i wish to realise Ekosofia.
