Remember this one very well. This is about the time when early 80s funk began to fade as a result of the break dancing craze. It was all pretty much downhill after this year. Funk never regained its short-lived status like it did in the early 80s.

From early spring '82. Another very (probably more) popular song off this album was Cinco de Mayo. '82 was probably the best ever year for 80s funk. Technology was not ubiquitous and boring as it was after '83.

Most is from the latter half of '82 but some from fall of '81. Great memories. This kind of mixing was very popular in the early 80s. Miss it a lot. Thanks for these memories.

You're right. I think it's the grafitti tattoos that a lot of those guys had on the back of their necks that also influenced other groups like 1% bikers back in the mid to late 50s. At least that's what one of the leaders of a well-known biker group said.
