For now, I am focusing on classical music, although I like all kinds of music. I'm mainly favoriting works, performances and performers which I think deserve to be better known.

To start with, I've been featuring Edvard Grieg, since of the many composers I love, I have long felt he is the most underappreciated by modern critics both in the quality of his music and in his importance to music history.

I have a B.S. in Physics and worked in Chemistry but have studied more extensively in scientific psychology. Health problems (requiring much surgery) have kept me from completing work on a PhD in Social Psychology. Still I've been involved, as much as my health and circumstances would allow, in human rights activism and in opposing malignant forms of religion.

I'm moved into my new home. Moving was an ordeal, but I'm happy. Nothing is unpacked or put in place, and I can't find anything, but I'm happy. After much trouble, I finally got my telephone service and internet back today and will soon be adding things. I can hardly believe how many of you have stayed loyal in my absence. Thank you. I will be adding things very soon.

I am troubled by YouTube's announcement that they will soon force all YouTubers' channels into their "upgraded" format - which will render all of my favorite channels (including this one) useless. I don't understand why they're doing it.

There is still much I plan to add here, including small gems and larger-scale masterworks (such as "Bergliot"). I may be slowed while I am trying to secure and move into a place which can better accommodate my handicaps, but if and when I get through this move, I should be able to do a better job here (hopefully including uploading) and also catch up on the many responses I owe to your messages to my YouTube inbox (please don't think my slowness means I don't appreciate and enjoy them - I do).

Hi Ernest. Thank you! I have sent your views to our conductor. Please observe: Today we have boy soprano singers too. And as they grow older, they cjoin the girl altos, before retiring around the age of 15...

Hi Jan. I have certainly enjoyed your videos of Viva, Sandnes Kulturskole Kor (Sandnes Music School Girls' Choir) and favorited the one of "Ved Rondane". As you can see, I am featuring works of Edvard Grieg, and there are a number of viewers who love his works as I do, so whenever I put a nice version of one on my small channel page, that video nearly always has a significant surge in viewers. If that has also increased the viewership of the rest of your videos, good! It is certainly well deserved. Ms Saerheim's handling of the girls' beautiful voices and of the arrangements is outstanding - and so are the recordings and your photos. Thank you. Ernest

Hi! I have observed a recent increase in the watching/listening of Viva, Sandnes kulturskolekor (vivasandnes) in Indiana. Have we got a new friend over there? Jan

In the 19th Century the critics routinely dismissed Chopin as a composer of "mere salon pieces", but look at his reputation now! Grieg's day will come. Long delayed, but it WILL come...

Seen some of your comments on classical music videos and I love how enthusiastic you are - I think it's catching!
