Edith acted like a ditz so often, but she had the most common sense of any of them. The scene where she notices Archie crying and then waits before coming out is great. Also love when Michael says goodbye to Archie. He always acted gruff but he was really a softy inside.

Barbra was wrong for the role (far too young), and of course Walter Matthau couldn't see a lick, but I still found the film entertaining. It is fun seeing a young Michael Crawford sing, and the scene with Louis Armstrong and Barbra singing "Hello Dolly" was fun.

I love her piano on this song. Two of my favorite songs were ones that she did not have hits with herself... this one and "Take Good Care of My Baby".

She is DEFINITELY still alive. I saw her in San Francisco last night. She just wrote a book which I bought and had her sign. Then she was interviewed. It was great fun!

Hey, dumb fuck, this isn't mlb. Yes, they should have changed the call, but there is no instant replay there.

The song is much older than The Animals. It was originally written to be sung by a woman who worked in a brothel. Not sure if the exact lyrics were as Dolly sings them, but they are certainly closer to the original. The lyrics were later changed to be sung by a man about being a gambler.

This may seem sacrilege to some, but I prefer this version even over the Animals'. Her voice is amazing, and the arrangement is incredible, the way it builds in power.

For people who don't know music, they know the Animals mostly for this song. They were truly one of the great groups of the British Invasion. They played great blues type stuff, great musicians, and Eric Burdon truly had one of the great voices in rock.
