About EJ Salcedo
An advertising graduate from the University of Houston, EJ was a member of the school's 1995 National Advertising Champions. After serving in the U.S. Air Force, he worked at JWT Manila as a copywriter. Garnering a Rookie of the year award on his first year, his second year got him a nomination for an Araw Award. His first short film called Talahib -- included in VIVA Digital's groundbreaking Imahe Nasyon. The work garnered a Gawad Urian Nomination for best short film in 2007. EJ's full-length film entitled Third World Happy in 2010 gave Jodi Sta. Maria a Best Supporting Actress Win and garnered Sam Milby a Best Actor Nomination in the festival and at the Gawad Urian. The movie was also nominated for Best Screenplay and was invited at the 2011 Jeonju International Film Festival and was again nominated for a NETPAC Best Asian Film Award.
