I have to thank hetchel for providing the Advance Wars By Web Replay Tool, as well as telling me how to delete the cache to get around an annoying bug in V3. I wish more AWBW members would actually be helpful, not freaking delete pages like Net Attack.
The Hyphy Movement, the Uni-Mind including trolls, the San Francisco Bay Area residents who prove that it doesn't deserve to be called the "Yay Area", the shallow girls who would say "wanna suck my pee" just to mock me, and the Oakland rioters would want to think they're better than me somehow. But I'm creative enough to have made this Advance Wars map from scratch. And what a map it is. While it still has some balance issues at the time of the match, it has already managed considerable progress in its aim of being a variety filled map. Case in point, this match, against a guy named Rom-Rom, with ~800 games under his belt (when I made this video anyway). While his playstyle has definite issues, the fact that he's 1P Eagle on a map like this does keep things interesting all the same.
I will provide a unit build tally: -Infantry: 28-31 (28K-31K) -Light Tank: 21-22 (147K-154K) -AA Tank: 4-9 (32K-72K) -Battle Helicopter: 7-10 (63K-90K) -Artillery: 15-1 (90K-6K) -MD Tank: 1-2 (16K-32K) -Bomber: 0-1 (0-22K) -APC: 0-1 (0-5K) Total: 76-77 (376K-412K)
The first thing to note is that the Infantry budgets are both exceeded by even Rom-Rom's AA Tank budget. Yes, every single one of the three triangle units beats the Infantry in budget. Of course, the Light Tanks are dominant, as even though Rom-Rom's building was overly skewed toward Artillery (which around the center, the City-heavy area, have to worry about flanking) and thus his units were generally susceptible to my Battle Helicopters, I still built Light Tanks, as just one or two AA Tanks cancels out a Battle Helicopter shield, and the Battle Helicopters themselves self-counter the best in the triangle, making non-impunity meatwalling with them a bad idea. Just be glad that two value units still have a considerable percentage in the budget, and tech units are useable and in fact encouraged enough for occasional building, since you can build them to give a single enemy front incredible grief and still have plenty of resources around the other fronts.
Now offensive control of the center, while it seems like it, is not going to determine the game. While it does have the most Cities to prevent somebody from Artillery spamming the map into oblivion, as it turns out, it is difficult to get reinforcements or even the necessary infantry there because of the needed diagonal movement alone, and meanwhile, your fronts that could provide reinforcements can get attacked from other angles, so you can't leave them unchecked either. If you try, you'll be the victim of a swarm attack where you definitely don't want to be. Lose control of the back attack fronts and your center area reinforcements are susceptible to flanking. Lose control of the south path and your HQ is an open raid target.
Let me summarize the fronts: *Northmost - back attack, try to flank *North-center - open area, use direct-fire *South-center - closed areas, use range-fire *Southmost - quick attack, pressure their HQ
In short, Mutiny Mountains is a wild map to see who can handle various factors the best! (Now if you'll excuse me, I have to fix the balance problems and the map will be golden.)
