I like the strength of how the sound can affect the body . the music for instance . I find the impact of this sound stronger than the lyrics themselves . The essence of Brel lays in his way of singing before laying in his lyrics . The essence of L. Cohen lays in his simplicity and sincerity before laying in his lyrics ( no matter how beautiful they are ) .
