Fair use. Plain and simple. If they simply asked you to change the title of your post, this would have all been avoided. The music heard is just so much background noise and is barely identifiable as Prince. And I guess the Label never thought that people who do recognize it may have a sudden urge to hear the whole track and buy it on I-tunes. People who pirate music don't watch happy baby videos to get their fix. Their looking in the wrong places to fix their slipping sales...

First off I know this isn't Prince making the move, it's the scum bag record company trying to recoop from numerous ligitimate loses from pirating.

Yeah it sucks that piracy has drain your coffers, but please pick a more applicable battle. I ampathize with you to a degree but this is just stupid. I hope she wins, and I hope your legal department picks a more logical battle.

That's Prince? All I hear is noise. Get a life for attacking this mom and for attempting to financially damage her childrens' future over something so minisquel. She probably only uses YouTube to share family moments with family and friends like most moms do.

If she loses this case, then the breakdown of society has gone further than I initially imagined. What a waste of tax payers money.

Good luck, I would like to post this as a MySpace bullitan with a story about what's happening but Prince may go after me. This is from a man who once said music should be free. As I posted before on the video, I will never support him again, and I should be suing him for forking over $20.00 for 2001's The Rainbow Children.

Good luck in your fight against the old man Prince. I believe that his lawsuit has more to do with his ego than his rights! Your baby is adorable and I hope you will ween him off of Prince's music. There are plenty of fresh new singers out there that would not sue a mom for posting a 29-second video promoting the singer's own music.
