Painkiller Hotel mixes gritty 1990's esc rock with heart felt vocals and songwriting to create a style of rock that can only be described as Romantic. Drawing comparisons to 90's rockers Pearl Jam, Matchbox 20, Tonic, and Live with the sentimental songwriting style of John Mayer, it seems Painkiller Hotel has found it's niche in the music community. Based out of Aurora, IL Painkiller Hotel is quickly making a name for themselves on the national scene with the appearance of their song "So Far Away" on MTV's Real World Sydney. Following their performances at the 2007 and 2008 South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, TX, a 2007 tour through Australia, 13 additional TV placements on other major network shows such as The Hills and Living Lohan , and airplay on 160 radio stations nation wide including 93 WXRT Chicago, Painkiller Hotel is attracting attention from several major labels. As a columnist from Trades Magazine once said, "it should surprise no one when Painkiller Hotel is finally named a VH1 Artist of the Month"
