It's amazing how different trad songs like this can sound by different artists. I've just been listening to the 1915 George Formby Snr recording and apart from the tune and the words "grandfather's clock" they could be different songs. Still, both very good versions.

@skeletoninthecl0set Check out the album "London Conversation" the 1969 debut album by Scotish folk musician John Martyn, this is the opening track. I must admit I only discovered the album about 10 years ago but it was the soundtrack to my late teens. Give it a go.
