I think they made it pretty clear. Although Dave did write alot of music from the first couple albums he technically wasn't around during the recording of the finished product that was eventually released. Sucks I know...but I can see why.

Well they wasted the hell out of that riff. His voice does not complement the band in any shape or form. Their live stuff with Reed is some of my least favorite because of his vocals. They mix like oil and water. And I thought David Alan Coe with Pantera was bad.
