In January 1988 I had a diving accident that very nearly took my life and left me paralyzed from the chest down. I was standing at the threshold of death's door about to step into the eternal abyss, but instead I was given a second chance at life by the grace of God. At 20 years of age, like most others my age, I unconsciously thought I was indestructable, but I came to the cold reality of just how precious and fragile life was - how precious and fragile my life was. As a result of being miraculously snatched from the jaws of death, I had a sense of unfulfilled destiny for my life, but I couldn't see myself livng the rest of my life paralyzed in a wheelchair and being happy and content. So, this started me on a journey for finding meaning and purpose for my life. This has led me to find and come to intimately know and have a personal relationship with the One who spared my life life on that faithful day in January. His name is Jesus Christ. As His disciple, bond-servant, and ambassador, I am compelled to share with others of His love, healing, and kingdom and to tell of His soon return.
