About Me:

I am the prodigal son, returned. I was the sheep that wondered away from the flock. I was close to God in my youth, but chose my sinful nature desires over God and began to live for myself after I left home at the age of 18. God bought me with a price and my body is not mine, but His. But, I chose to live the life I wanted and indulge in the worldly things that my sinful nature desired. By the blood of Jesus Christ, I am forgiven for the sins and mistakes I have made in my past, however, God wanted me to return to Him. A sheep knows it's shepherd's voice when he calls for it, just as I knew my Lord's voice when He called for me. In the winter of 2009, by the grace of God, I was called back to my Shepherd. Being a metal-head, God used a heavy metal concert to ultimately guide me back to Him. It worked. Former Korn guitarist, Brian "Head" Welch was coming to Bakersfield for a concert. I WAS THERE!!! The concert took place at the Valley Bible Fellowship Church. I hadn't stepped foot in a church since I was a teenager, except for funerals or an occasional Catholic mass, with Grandma, for the holidays. From the time I arrived and stepped foot in the parking lot, to the time I headed back to my car after the show, I was shown an abundant amount of love by the staff working at the concert, all of which were leaders of the church volunteering their time as the concert staff. One of the security guards, who was a deacon at the church, even put his arm around me and prayed for me. All of this love was all too familiar. I knew where I had experienced this love and kindness before. It was the love that God's church extends to people who need Him. This is the kind of love I had been missing in my life all through my 20's. I knew this was God calling me back to Him...and I listened. The next weekend I told a friend of mine that I wanted to start going to church again, but hadn't been to church since I was a kid and had no idea where I should go. He suggested, "why don't you come to the church I go to?" I asked him where that was. He said, "The Oasis." The rest is my legacy.

Interests:
When it comes to serving the LORD, my heart's desire is to write and sing Christian death metal for the glory of God. I am not a professional rap artist. I do not have any expensive recording equipment. Just a laptop with an integrated mic and some necessary software for mixing tracks. I do not know how to master tracks either and I apologize for the poor sound quality, but pray you receive the messages from God in the songs. This is just my calling at this point in my life to share my testimonies with the world and tell everyone about my Savior's life-changing name. I understand why the LORD is using me right now to write and perform rap music, instead. Rap lyrics are a lot easier to understand than death growls for a vast majority of people when listening to a song. Not everybody can or will take the time to read lyrics to a song to understand what is being expressed. As long as God's message is being heard in the performance through me, then, that's all that matters. I open my heart and share my testimony with you in hope that you would see that only Jesus Christ can truly change a person to be better. I just hope that after being obedient to Him first and letting His will be done through me right now, that He will bless me with the opportunity to sing with a Christian death metal band for His glory in the future.
Movies:
Favorite movie of all time: "Labyrinth"! Favorite t.v. show of all time: "Seinfeld"! I am a movie fanatic, but there are just way too many to list that I have enjoyed over the years. Hit me up if you wanna know specifics.
Music:
My favorite (sub) genre was, is, and will probably always be death metal. But, in general, I love all music, with the exception of country. Last year (2010) I was convicted by God's Holy Spirit to surrender my passion and desire for secular music to Him. After reading chapter 4 in Jim Logan's book, "Reclaiming Surrendered Ground", I felt God was speaking to my heart, telling me I need to get away from influential secular music, which had already had a serious demonic impact on me in my 20's and had ultimately convinced me to turn away from and hate God. Immediately after reading that chapter, I prayed to God and surrendered my music to Him and asked that He would tell me what music to get rid of. I have already rebuked Satan and his demonic influence and burned and/or shredded about 1,200 CDs, which is most of my collection, with the exception of a few instrumental movie scores. I also prayed that God would bless me with music that He approves of, that glorifies Him, and that I would enjoy immensely. He has. I have found many awesome Christian music artists that have substituted and replaced my old desire for secular music. I have peace and no longer have a desire to support sinfully influential music. Praise God!!!
Books:
First and foremost: THE HOLY BIBLE. From my childhood, I would have to say I love any of "The Far Side" editions. I also liked "The Giving Tree", "The Missing Piece", and "Where The Wild Things Are". Lately I have been reading books that are spiritual growth tools written by Christian authors. A few examples are "Every Man's Battle", "Crazy Love", "Reclaiming Surrendered Ground", "Purity", and "Victory Over the Darkness". These are fantastic learning tools for Christians and non-Christians.
