Psalm 73:25-26 ~ "Whom have I in Heaven but you, O' Lord? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. Though my heart and my flesh may fail me, God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."
About Me:
1. God: There is one living and existing God who created all things for his glory.
2. Man: God created man uniquely. Like animals and plants, we are created to glorify God, but we were created in His image and to have a relationship with Him.
3. Fall: However, we fell, we rebelled against God and deserve to be punished forever. We're not only seperated from God, but we have inherited a nature that seeks to keep it that way.
4. Offer: But God has made us an offer. Instead of wiping us out and starting over, He will place himself in our lives again as our ultimate TREASURE and AUTHORITY.
5. Jesus: How did God do this? Through Jesus Christ. Christ came from the Father and took the punishment we deserved upon himself and has lived the perfect, required life for us. And thus, removing every obstacle from us coming to know God.
6. Response: God's will is that we turn from our sins to His son, Jesus. We are to place our faith in Him that he accomplished all that was necessary on the cross in order to bring us back into a relationship with the Father.
