While serving in the United States Army during the mid and late1990s, born and raised Chicagoan Terrell West Dyson had an idea to create a business and brand like no other. Something that would be forever considered "uniquely undeniable". Inspired by reading the influential biographies of American entrepreneur Russell Simmons and British entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson, Terrell embarked on the tough, entrepreneurial path.

Six years after being honorably discharged from military service Terrell incorporated Dýnaukn Co.(pronounced da-naw-kin company) in 2005. Behind this incomparable name lies a momentous statement. Dýnaukn means "powerful unknown"; deriving from the Greek origin "dunamikos" and abbreviation of the word "unknown". Dýnaukn represents one's infinite creativity waiting to be tapped.

The company's icon is a distinctive, calligraphic art piece. This art piece also holds a strong meaning behind it: "Tuesday Fire".

"I wanted to create a symbol for Dýnaukn Co. that would be remembered", explains Terrell. "I wanted that symbol to have a powerful meaning and encourage those who saw it. Something that symbolizes strength and perseverance. I think about "9/11" when those words are brought up. I think back on seeing those firefighters, policemen and pedestrians risking their lives to save those who were helpless. That was my reasoning behind my icon. It is a reminder to us all (myself included) to aspire, believe and conquer!"
