I have the recording Ermione with Gasdia, but she is rather disappointing; I also have Caballe's, but she had obviously past her prime then.
Pendatchanska's Ermione has much more passion, fire and vocalflair than Gasdia's. Her trills, runs, "messa di voce" is precise and wonderful- especially...

Compassed by a music world full of well-wrapped trash, I find there are so few singers whose songs could really move, sooth my soul like Loreena McKennitt has always done. She is a musical diva, a poetress,a muse from an ancient ,mystic forest. The 29 who gave her music "thump down" is either...

My absolutely favorite tenor in Donizetti's opera. He should have sung more in this repertoire. There have been and are may singers who have a good technic, but almost no one has such a rich, colored, radiant voice, a so full lower register and so stable fort-high notes.

The left ones aren't worth mentioning.
Saioa Hernandez has a rich, expressive voice, sweet pianissimi, and fine lower register, brilliant High Cs.And what I like most, her fearless attacks in "..Ve-la...Ce-la" (Even Caballe can not)which is really exciting!
