I apologize in advance for my videos seeming very one gendered.
The challenges of growing up as a boy are what I'm most interested in but haven't found a way to express it. Their experience is unique because typically a girls' self identity is directly related to the primary caregiver (mother), it is one of similarity and making connections. Boys typically are the opposite with their mother, and their self identity is formed out of difference. Some believe this explains why men are the way they are with dualist and categorical ways of thinking. Where as girls are good at finding connections between things, girls seem to have a head start at this from birth since estrogen seems to promote connections between both sides of the brain.
So I guess I would like to romanticize the downfalls, and challenges of being a boy, and the sometimes bitter sweet relationship between a mother and her son.
