About Me:

A webpage about oneself is an opportunity to write your own obituary. Here I have achieved my mid forties and want to convey something witty and catchy as introduction to those who stop by. Perhaps one of the defining things of this life of mine since this is a website is that in the mid seventies is when I learned to program BASIC at high school. I was involved in personal computers from the beginning. I was in the electronics lab when the Altair was released and one of my fellow students built one. I had an Apple II+ by 1981 and wrote my History Thesis on it for UCLA. In those days we were limited to 70 characters on the screen via a card that you bought from Microsoft that gave you an extra 16k of memory. When the Mac was released I was with a friend who was asking my opinion. I directed him to get it for his son and he pulled out $2600 in cash to buy the original 128K Mac. Exciting times. From that Apple II+, I have had a Mac+, Classic Mac, Quadro, PC, 3 PC Laptops and am now back computing on an iMac. (Personal computers, work is a whole other story starting with the original 8088 IBM PC.)

For Rollercoaster Tycoon fans I suggest going to the website: http://web.me.com/dwwilkin/...

For Time Commander fans the website is chock full of history, Rome Total War items, and lots of links to books, videos and other information about the battles covered in the series. http://www.dwwilkin.com/Tim...

Hello, my friend.

In regards to my Total War videos, I have numbered them according to which battle I fought. So I might be at Battle #30 for Empire videos, but I've only shown perhaps 10 Empire battles. But just as an example, #30 just means it was the 30th time I played Empire online (not necessarily my 30th video). I hope that makes sense.

Perhaps, yeah. Bitter Jeweler was pretty much the best movie maker out there for a while, in my opinion. (Enough that my brother and I downloaded the trial version of the program he used to make his videos, but we never finished that music video of ours.) Is Vodhin still around? I know some people left for Thrillville, others like myself just grew out of it.

He vanished from the RCT3 community. The other month, he commented on the video of his that I uploaded, "Saturday in the Park" (which was taken down last week, sadly) so I know he's still alive, but he never responded to any messages I sent him.

DarkSim is around on YouTube too, he gave me a comment on my profile, but he hasn't responded to any letters either.

Been a long time, hasn't it?

Sadly, I've had two of my videos pulled down due to copyright claims now. Not sure how much longer until the rest are gone, with YouTube really cracking down on that kind of thing now.

Thanks for the subscription! I tried making custom scenery, back before Soaked! came out. Didn't work out so well, heheh.
