I am a retired locomotive engineer for the UPRR and have operated one of the UP's DDA4OX during my career. While they look pretty nice on the outside, the railroad did not maintain the inside very well. It had old worn out seats, peeling paint and a nasty stinking toilet.

The UP discontinued using the DDA40X's because they are not fuel efficient.
