I think we do these great tracks a disservice by calling them simple catchy pop songs.

I was lucky to meet her in the early 70ss after a show,when she met her fans.

She was absoluely gorgous, so ordinary and so genuine.

Everyone talks about all the rest being the best, I am not so sure.

Recorded by several Groups, I think this is possibly the best version, even then it was only a minor hit in 64.

Imo one of if not the Best 60s Groups still around.

They still sound brilliant,harmonies etc.

They all look so well, unfortunately the ravages of time, illness, wear and tear etc have not been so kind to some, but not the case with these guys.

Unfortunately for Jimmy when he recorded this and it was a big Xmas hit in 72, he probably had no control over it at all. Osmond mania was sky high in this country and people higher up the ladder just pushed this out.

However he has stuck with it created his own stage personality etc and good luc...

Cilla recorded mainly strong ballads which we all remember, but imo this was her best recording. Totally different to anything else she recorded.
