HAM radio and more
About Me:

I started amateur radio hobby when I met Luis,DU1NIL. He was my former schoolmate in my secondary year and in college.

Actually, Luis and I were not that close at that time when we are in our high school days, but we are in one group called "zero boyz".After a few years one member of the group called for a reunion and celebrated his birthday, I saw Luis talking with someone on his radio transceiver, I was amazed that time, and wondering why he's using a radio.

Fortunately I really want to learn how to communicate using a radio transceiver even before, so I decided to ask him everything with regards to this, Luis found out that I am interested & willing to learn, so he did his best to encourage me to join the group.

To cut the story short, he invited me to attend the KALIKASAN-ARMI group meeting and introduced me to all members. They advise me to attend the HAM radio seminar conducted by the group, and after that I decided to take the NTC exam and thanks to their support, I passed the exam and DY1UCJ was born. One of our former member, Richard DU1ODC, teaches me how to transmit and decode MORSE CODE, again it encouraged me to take the NTC Technician Class Exam and became DU1UCJ. The NTC made a revision for classification of the license, through the help of PARA (Philippine Amateur Radio Association) I became DW1UCJ and again I decided to take the exam for General Class B, and passed again to become DV1UCJ with the help of Thelma DU1IVT. Until now, I am trying to gain more knowledge on how to be an efficient HAM. Thanks to DU1NIL who took time and effort to teach me how to be a HAM, and Thelma DU1IVT as one of my elmer, most especially to the KALIKASAN-ARMI group who also exerted their effort to help me live up to be in DV1UCJ. c",) I have changed my call sign to DU1AZ after I passed the class A NTC test.

I am presently residing here in Dubai UAE and actively operating the HF band and echolink as A65CB.

Catch you on the air, maybe oneday you will be recorded and be added to my video collections hihi 73 and MABUHAY!!!
