I picked up the guitar and started strumming some chords a few years ago, only to become a bit more serious about a year and a half ago -- starting with fingerstyle and stuff. The first serious fingerstyle tune I ever learned was Andy McKee's 'Drifting', but I never bothered recording a cover of it.
Recently though, I started becoming increasingly interested in the mandolin and decided to save up for one. What got me interested was the fact that mandolins seem to be used in many different settings -- Irish traditional music, bluegrass, country (even modern), jazz, and more. What initially pulled me in was purely it's place in country-pop (only noticed it when really listening for it) and bluegrass (which I started listening too not very long ago).
Besides playing music on instruments I don't mind doing so with the computer. I used to do this loads more before picking up the guitar, but I still don't mind doing it if necessary. Nowadays I prefer recording everything -- which to me just makes it sound much more alive.
If you want something like a backing track/instrumental/karaoke of sorts, feel free to ask me for it and I might have a look at it. I have the least trouble with Taylor Siwft's songs as I know most of them inside-out already (I seem to have more trouble with memorizing lyrics than chords anyway).
