I made mine with a flap and durable snap. I use mine in coal fired boilers in coal fired power plants. See I'm always crawling around in the boiler steam tubes and crawling in and out of small boiler doors. So I need a flap, so I won't lose my Leatherman.

I could've made you one with a Barry King or Hackbarth & Gomph Basketweave. And it would fit like a glove. Plus, the knive handle strap should've been higher up on the back piece of the sheath. I could've handcarved a naked female on the front part. Oh Yeah.

You could still attach a strap that goes around the back side of the sheath to the front. Put some Durable Dot Snaps on the strap and front piece. The strap could go under the rear end of the axe.

Cool tooling. Use Freezer Paper for your tracing paper. Use a #3 or #4 pencil, so the lead won't smudge as bad. Just draw your design and trace. Save on your Tracing Film.
