Why 5 ghosts? Because when the cartoon came out, both Pac Man and Ms. Pac Man games came out before. Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde were the ghosts in Pac Man, while Sue took Clyde's place in Ms. Pac Man. So you have 5 different names of ghosts when you put both games together.
