About Featured artist: Prince Far I
love all kinds of music but this channel reflects more my tastes in reggae roots and dub music. I started listening to reggae way back in the early 70s. In that period reggae was really popular in the UK and sounds from Dave & Ansel Collins, the Pioneers, Jimmy Cliff, Johnny Nash etc. could be heard playing over the airwaves. Then in the mid-70s, one of my friend's at school had a brother who had just started up a sound system and they usually tried their equipment out at the local youth club. I was amazed by the size of the speakers and the sound coming out of them_ and also the window panes breaking because of the power coming from the woofers. At the time they were playing tracks from albums such as King Tubby meets The Upsetter at the Grass Roots of Dub, Burning Spear's Marcus Garvey and Big Youth's Dread Locks; just to name a few. Suddenly I became hooked on this music and this passion has never waned.
I'd like to thank all those people who pass by and it's a really good thing to be in contact with so many people with positive vibes. One Love!
