d.Tox was born Daniel Adams on October 11th 1986 in Brockton MA. As a child d.Tox spent most of his days on the streets of Brockton with kids from around the neighborhoods where he grew up. At an early age d.Tox knew that he wanted to make music.
When d.Tox was 11 years old he started to write rap lyrics under the name "Chaos" and would make beats with primitive programs of the day. By 13 d.Tox had become more involved with making music/beats and writing, and also began to record his first songs. Although choppy, bad quality and lacking any base or substance, it was a beginning.
When d.Tox was 14 he decided to change his name to "Chaoz" taking away the "s" and adding the "z" to stand out more among a large group of people who had already dubbed the name over the internet. d.Tox went on to record more and began to gather his own studio equipment, learning how to mix, record and produce everything on his own.
By 20 d.Tox had released several mixtapes and songs via the internet with mild interest and popularity. At this time he took a break and focused on his home life. At the time having a daughter and having to spend more of his time working rather than recording.
After a great deal of court dates and jail time d.Tox came back in 2010 refreshing his style, flow, music and name he signed with Planet X Records LLC. By 2011 he started to record and produce what would become Methadone Musick.
Long awaited, Methadone Musick is his first official LP release. It will be on iTunes, Amazon, Ughh.com, Pandora, and featured in Newbury Comic stores local to the Boston MA area as well as orderable at all FYE locations throughout the country.
This is only the beginning, the rest, is history.
