Hi, I'm David Thong hailing from Northern Virginia/Washinton DC. I'm Cambodian American.
Watching Michael Jackson's 'Billie Jean' performance from the Motown 25 anniversary is what sparked my passion for music. Grew up on 80's pop and constantly singing along to mom's old vinyl records.
At age 8, I was selected as a lead role in the musical the 'Inside Pitch' and had a featured solo performance. Later that year I was selected to all district festival chorus and orchestra. In 6th grade, I received the outstanding male vocalist award for my school.

I took a break from music in high school to focus on sports. It was Fall of '99 at my days at Virginia Tech when I started to pick up the guitar and write my own songs. Started performing in 2001 with my friend Viet Phan. We were called MSG and played all of the Virginia Tech campus as well as other colleges in the state.

I'm also continuing to do solo acoustic gigs and other side projects.
