Lots of nice old retro psych blues feel. Blue Cheer, Hendrix, even some Vanilla Fudge.

Saw them live in Chicago in summer of 1970....loud and powerful but very good.

That was when rock was still rock and before Frampton became too commercial.

Marriot with one of the greatets rock voices of all time imo.

The first 3 lp's by them are also very good especially the third just called Humble Pie with the strange white creature cover.

I wish they had done whole lp's....Steely Dan meets the Canterbury Sound....another group I'm going to have to find on cd. Very nice stuff.....real musicians .

Excellent.....simply excellent. Right up there with Close To The Edge, Dark Side of the Moon, Selling England By The Pound....etc.

Far better than the old Fudge stuff ......too bad Beck had to wait until healed to play with them as Beck Bogert and Appice......great blues rock and my friend Bill is a huge fan of these guys.

I used to have all the old Fudge vinyl.....always thought their cover songs were decent but often over the top. Their original songs were just ok.... great bass and drums...never thought their guitar player and keyboard men were that great.

IMO Cactus and Beck Bogert Appice were much better but ...

One of those bands that get lumped into prog rock due to this song.....though the rest of the lp certainly isn't prog but competent 'art rock'. They obviously had conflicting influences in the band and never settled on a specific style. An interesting band and it's too bad they didn't do the whol...

I've had the cd for over a year now and it's definitely one of the best prog discs around these days.

Can't wait to see what they do on the next one.

It doesn't get any better than this imho.;....all of the early Tull lp's are killer but this is my all time favorite. Cigarettes , wine, weed...,,your girlfriend.....ah....1970

That's Martun Barre on guitar....Iommi only played at the Stones Circus show but never recorded with them.

I have their second and third one...having trouble finding this one but the other two are also excellent.......good psychedelic rock.
