I agree, this is the prettiest song he ever wrote. Beautiful melody and lyrics. Outstanding! Proves when composers write from the heart, they get the best results. I like his comments about the song on the official video.

There are certain songs that they haven't built a stereo that can play them loudly enough. When people in the next county are rendered sterile from the volume, they'll have it right. This is one of those songs.

This song is kinda of Alabama's secret tribute to Poco. Any Poco fan can recognize the song's energy and drive, harmonies, guitar work (solo and rhythmn parts) and choral interlude. Fun, Fun song! One of Alabam's very best.

@VIETNAMVET864 continuing, In very large venues, music directors often speed up the piece depending on accoustics. With no return of the sound, slower pieces tend to sound somewhat hollow or off key. Look at the size of this venue. It's huge! There ya go.

@phil2u Some stage directors choose to delete some of the stanzas for time or editorial purposes. It's a very long song if all the verses are used.
