@MikeInc79 Thanks for your comments Mike. It's always good to hear from someone with something sensible to say instead of idiots like the ScottishPEACEguy below. You make a very good point and as I note you are from Sweden you'll be even more aware of the need for well insulated homes. The main p...

One of my favourite Everly singles. It came out in the UK on the London American label in late 1959 and early the following year they moved to Warner Brothers with their first release on that label being Cathy's Clown, another of their many great recordings.

I just had to check this one out to see if it was a Woolies cover version. So I went on to the 45Cat.com website to see if the original label was there and sure enough it came out on the Woolworth's Embassy label. The flip side was Sherry by Kay Barry. That sounds like a female's name so that cou...

I bought an Everly's album in the seventies of previously unreleased material titled 'The New Album' and this song was on it, but this one sounds slightly different but just as good as the version I remember from the album. I'm not so sure I like the much slower version you've also uploaded Sir B...

This very much follows the 'Take Good Care of My Baby' template even down to the talking intro and the soaring strings but an excellent song in its own right. Don't remember it being a chart single. Maybe it was one of his B sides. Thanks for an excellent upload Sir Bas.

This was taken from one of the best view points I've see yet and a good view also of the rubble as the dust clears. Amazing how small the pile of concrete and bricks is when 23 floors come crashing down.

@justmusicandme Yes I agree with you. It ranks among the best of their songs. It's a shame it didn't get the airplay that it deserved. The B side 'Nancy's Minuet' was also excellent. Those fantastic harmonies can never be equalled.

Just trying to work out which street that's taken from. Is it Wellington Street or Nelson Street? I lived in William Street until 1970 and if I remember it was Wellington Tower at the top of that street. The blocks were only three years old then. Sad to see them go.

In the UK this was Del's last release on the London American label and sadly it didn't chart here. After this his recordings came out on the Stateside label beginning with Mary Jane but his biggest hit on Stateside came with Keep Searchin' (We'll Follow the Sun).
