Follow a patient (Sandy) step by step as she undergoes LASIK with an Intralase and an Alcon Alegretto wavefront optimized laser,right eye for reading (mono-vision),left eye for distance, surgery one eye at a time. Follow another patient, James, who required wave front guided LASIK because of his large pupils. Other postop interviews include my daughter who had LASIK 6 years ago, two patients who had LASIK in one eye and a Staar Visian ICL implant for high myopia in the other eye, a highly myopic patient with a thin cornea who had PRK in one eye 10 years ago and a Staar implant in the other for -16 D 4 months ago, a young patient who had surgery in only one eye as the other was only mildly nearsighted, a highly myopic patient who had Intralasik with the Visx laser in both eyes, and a post radial keratotomy patient who had PRK in both eyes, and another patient who had a complication (corneal infection) after his PRK and required 3 more laser treatments but has maintained good vision.
