22lr is grreat for self defence, specially for youth, elderly, smaller people, etc. It will do the job just fine.

I always have an axe, its a calorie saver, and really isn't that heavy, should be as sharp as your knife

it doesn't have to be done pretty...remove skin, and guts, cook and eat
