About jazzguitarlegend.com

For years I've been passionate about helping people learn jazz guitar and lately I've had so much interest that I had to find a better, interactive way to teach more people. This is where the idea of a web teaching platform came to mind.

With this new site I can now help more people learn about my perspective on improvising and jazz guitar, as well as catalog the knowledge I've accumulated over years of teaching privately, in clinics, at schools, at Universities and online.

But the most important feature of this site for me is having a personalized and interactive community. I also aim to include great figures in Jazz Guitar from N.Z and overseas once the site has gained enough momentum.

We are currently in a pre-launch phase and are inviting people to try out the lessons before we launch it as a paid membership site, so that we can find out what people really want in an online teaching platform. Below are some of the main areas we are looking at to give you a basic idea of what is on the site:

52 core lessons: On everything from scales, comping, voicings, progressions and improvising techniques and concepts. These come complete with PDF's of TAB and notation transcribed from every lesson and additional downloadable playalongs for most lessons. These lessons will be continually updated with fresh content.

Live interactive Jazz Guitar Community: This community will form a knowledge base for musicians of all skill levels and feature live Q and A sessions with my self and other experts in the national and international scene.

Complete Jazz Standard Lessons: We will be breaking down Jazz standards in fine detail, which is something I've yet to see done really well on the web. This will enable students to learn the classics inside-out from as many different perspectives as possible.
