About Llamas of Dawn of Promise Farm
Dawn of Promise Farm is home to show quality llamas and Connemara ponies. Established in 1985 by co-owner and trainer, Vickie Maris Greeson, the farm has raised many wonderful Connemara ponies who have become beloved equine partners to their owners. As Vickie continues to work with the ponies in animal-assisted therapy, the Greesons have also started raising llamas. Vickie and Scott chose to start out with a few proven, bred females and three juvenile females with great potential as show animals. They looked for animals that either had a successful show record in not only halter but also performance classes, or whose offspring or siblings were excelling in multiple disciplines. The Greesons find that llamas with good personalities, positive conformation traits, excellent fiber quality, and suitability for a variety of uses all contribute to making an ideal llama friend.
