I have a question for you. Were you rolling the stick on your video for the 6 stroke roll? I don't know whether it is okay to roll the stick when playing fast like that. Were you striking the drum really fast or rolling the stick? I appreciate it!

Hey man, I'm really digging the videoses. They're really helpful. Being a semi-beginning drummer, I was wondering where you think it is best to start? By the books, or just by playing, trying to imitate sounds of songs and teaching myself? Also, since I don't have access to a computer where my drums are, are there any DVD's you would recommend, or again, should I learn by the books?
