When you cut the ends of the coil off, We call them tube sheets , Then the copper is now considered clean & the scrap yard will pay you more , If you don`t cut the tube sheet ends off the coil , Then its considered dirty copper , They don`t pay much for dirty copper , They also do...

This I believe is a Gleco fluorescent fixture from around 1940 or 41 - I have this exact fixture I saved from a house built in 1940 .

If you have the original bulbs to any of these fixtures They will most likely have brass endcaps , Save them or drop me an e-mail , I collect vintage fluorescent ...

Very nice !!!! Sure would be nice to score an F90T17 or F100T17 from the early 1940`s .

So far the oldest one I have seen is a Westinghouse daylight F90T17 from around 1953

If you can , Keep it original , My original preheat ballasts finally went out so replaced them with nos preheat ballasts .
