Yes, the song is about a guy who is feeling down. That's why I love to listen to this from time to time. Otis made so many other songs though which I prefer to listen to. They're all on Youtube as I'm sure you know and they are soul songs that really move you.

So many dreams ....so many memories. Otis played such a big part in that.

This song brings back strong memories - a time when my heart was broken. I still love listening to it though when I feel down.

Heaven Must Have Sent You keeps getting played on Gold Radio. Such a shame that they never play PUT YOURSELF IN MY PLACE which is equally as good. Some of their other tracks such as STAY IN MY LONELY ARMS were good too. Tamla Motown sound at its best - soulful and original.

I became a big fan of Otis in 1967 when I was 15 but then he was taken from us. Life is so damn cruel at times. I still love his music today. I never tire of listening to his songs on Youtube. Never mind Elvis - long live Otis!

I was always a SOUL fan and when Otis released "(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay" in1967 I bought the 'History of Otis Redding' LP then I heard that he'd died. Geez, I wish he was here now - he had so much more to give just as John Lennon did. God bless both of you guys for what you gave us.

I really really wish that I still had my 7 inch vinyl version of this song. It was so much better than the sounds on YouTube.

I didn't really think much of this song when it came out in the late 70s. But when I hear it now, it brings back so many memories - mostly good. I'm hooked on this song now!

Love this song...absolutely love the lyrics and the melody. Reminds me of my time a teenager...my first love etc. Makes me wish I could go back and start again.

What can I say...Stevie Wonder is fantastic...and this song is just beautiful. It brings back so many good memories.

I have mixed views on this song. Takes me back to those disco clubbing days but more recently, it makes me think of my grand-daughter Jodie. Great song.

I love this record. I loved it when i was a teenager in the 60s and I still love it now!
