I like your craft projects but some of them can't be used in the real world. For instance, this bird house can't be cleaned out easily from year to year and the paint will wash off if it isn't treated with some type of water proofing.What can I spray it with to keep it from weathering so soon?

Thanks Naomie76 for your response. I did lift the carpet in a corner and there is concrete underneath. As you suggested, I could paint the floor and then use area rugs to absorb the winter cold and to keep my knees from being susceptible to the hardness of the floor.
