She graduated from 13-year music school, specialization: violin.
She devoted herself, however, to vocal art and fully realizes her ambitions in this area.
In 1995, Dorota started to work on her debut album.
Quite a large dose of self-criticism made her collect the repertoir for a long time, for almost a year.
On 26th May 1997, her debut album "SECRET" was released. The album comprised 14 melodious, funky-like songs. This album was recorded for Warner Music Poland.
Warner Music Poland took over Dorota, in a similar way like a few years ago it happened with Red Hot Chili Peppers. Dorota was lucky to cooperate with a record company, which promoted the world's greatest female singer -- Aretha Franklin. Fascination with a new wave of dark-skinned female singers from USA is easily heard in the whole Dorota's album. What distinguishes Dorota from other Polish female singers is the fact that she has in her voice a certain feeling and when she sings, she tells emotional, love stories.
Dorota became widely looked for on the market of radio jingles, many entertainment programms in public television (TVP) were supported vocally by Dorota.
Her characteristic voice was also appreciated in the far Asia, where for the purpose of Korean production, she recorded timeless Polish hit "Chryzantemy złociste" ("Golden Chrysanthemums").
Since 1994, for 10 years she cooperated with Olga Lipińska Cabaret .
She's an artist in the real meaning of this word, apart from music talent, she has also successfully starred in a series "Dom"("Home") (a very popular series in Poland).
In February 2000, at the invitation of PTPI organization (People To People International) -- she gave concerts in Japan.
For recording her vocals in the Polish version of a Walt Disney production entitled "Hercules" , she received a special congratulation letter from Disney Character Voices International, Inc., for the best foreign film version in Europe. She also recorded her vocals for both parts of Polish version of "The Lion King" .
Since 2004, Dorota has been performing as a soloist singer in oratories "Świętokrzyska Golgotha , Tu Es Petrus and Psałterz Wrześniowy (September Psalter)" (performed by two choirs and a symphony orchestra). Music for the oratories was written by a young, Polish composer Piotr Rubik and lyrics by a Polish poet Zbigniew Książek.
Those three oratories, creating a triptych, are currently the best selling music compositions in Poland. There is a record number of sold CDs, DVDs as well as numerous live concerts taking place, and in Polish radio stations, the singles promoting oratories are constantly at the top of playlists.
Thanks to performances in the oratories, Dorota is presently a widely recognizable singer, with constantly increasing number of fans of her fabulous voice.
In March 2007 she recorded a demo of three covers in English, shows clearly that Dorota's music preferences haven't changed. The demo announces the continuation of her solo career.
In June 2008 appeared the second solo album of vocalist titled "SONI" with eleven English songs arranged by Krzysztof Herdzin.
