Alice Mayne has been playing the piano since she was 5 years old and has been singing most of her life, be it in the shower or on-stage at concerts. In her teenage years, she developed the skill of playing the piano and singing simultaneously. As a result she started writing her own songs as well as playing along to her favourites. A born performer, she has showcased her original material at several concerts. Recently she graduated from the University of Southampton with a 2:1 BA in Music, specialising in rock, pop and jazz singing/performance. She studied with Nichola Christie.
Here on YouTube, she shares her creative talents via camera uploads and occasionally her original songs make an appearance, although most have been kept under wraps. Alice is good friends with up and coming musical composer and recording engineer, Nick Hutson, and the pair have taken part in various projects together.
Recently, Alice has been providing guest vocals with the Rex Trevett Big Band in Bridport, Dorset, and is IN a rock band based in London!! Once they're ready, hopefully they'll be playing at a venue near you!!
