my main instrument is piano but i decided three years ago that the ukulele would be fun, not knowing the instrument would grow to such current popularity. never-the-less, it recommend it to anyone who wants to play something portable and relatively easy to learn. I would have to describe my music as "singer songwriter," but I hate the term (being a woman) because it usually makes you think of Lilith faire acts and fairies and baby tees. Actually, I am more influenced by: folk punk, soul and post punk (whatever that means these days.) I grew up too poor to be like lily allen and relate more to the blue collar sense. I'm originally from new jersey and sort of obsessed with it's history and pop culture
