How To Play On A Private Server
1) find a private server you wish to join and copy the server ip (ctrl +c)
2) create an account on the private server (account name and password)
3) navigate through your my computer to your WoW files (My Computer --> Program Files --> World of Warcraft)
4) find the file named "realmlist.wtf" (or something to that effect)
5) open it in notepad
6) delete all the text but "set realm" or "set realm to," whatever is already there is what you keep. (it has been a while since i have done this)
7) paste (ctrl +v) the private server ip in place the of text you have deleted. it should now read something like "set server (private server ip)" or "set realmlist (private server ip)"
8) log in as you would normally, however, use the account name and password you registered for the private server earlier
9) enjoy playing on a private server
*note: make sure your version of WoW is the same version as the server. if not, get the necessary updates and instal them.
