DON'S GOLDEN GOSPEL FAVORITES AND "Playlist" favorites. Many people have never heard the older gospel artists and many others just miss them like I do. Wherever you are in your love for Southern Gospel - my goal here is to bring you some of the best from the "golden era" of southern gospel music. Thanks for viewing and joining -there's much more in the pipeline!
About Me:

There's Jake Hess and me back in 1978.
Gospel music fan and collector, musician, singer, pastor, evangelist, YouTube friend and resource.
Have had the privilege to have known Jake Hess, Hovie Lister,
Rosie Rozell; J.D. and Donnie Sumner, Ed Enoch, Bill Baize; Goodman's Rusty and Sam; was a very good friend of Johnny Cook; worked with Joel Kelsey and the Song Masters back in the early 1970's; have met and talked with just about everybody else in gospel music at one time or another. Have heard and seen the "who's who" - everyone of any note in gospel music over the years. Person who left the most lasting impression on me was Danny Gaither.
Made a trip one day with Jake Hess in his Coupe DeVille he had affectionately named "Big Red!" He said one day that "I could sing," and that's the only opinion that has ever really mattered.

Hi, I am back and listening to the great gospel songs on here. I have been off since about Sept' 09. My computer crashed, I was in the hospital four months and haven't felt like recouping. But here I am. Johnny's new album is out. His son Kevin produced it. " Full Circle" You might want a copy.I know you knew Johnny way back. Come over to Bernising and see me. Like your new channel design.

My name is Lydia Kelsey Barnes and I am the youngest child of Joel Kelsey. I just wanted to tell you how excited I was to see that you paid tribute to my late father and his life's work of spreading the gospel through music. Have a blessed day in the Lord.

Thanks for the add; appreciate it!

Love Southern Gospel; I grew up listening to that stuff! WOW; what anointed singers there were (and are) in the field of Southern Gospel! As a Christian, I know and appreciate good talent that's out there!

God bless and have a great day!

Actually I am a very BIG fan of Johnny Cook. I just do not have any clips of him to put onto that video. I also think that alot of more old singers need to be given more credit for what the have done for the music.
